What the contact form sends
When you submit the form on our contact page, what you entered in it (your name, institution, professional email, phone number if you gave one, and your message) is sent over HTTPS and stored in a database, and our team receives it by email so we can reply. Nothing else is sent with it: no cookies, no tracking identifiers, and nothing about your device.
If the form cannot reach us, your browser opens a draft in your own email application instead. In that case nothing reaches us unless you choose to send that email yourself.
Information we collect
- What you enter in the contact form, or write in an email you send us: typically your name, organization, professional email, and phone number, and the message itself.
- The services that receive the form keep short-lived technical logs, as any web server does, which can include your IP address and browser user agent.
- Nothing else from the site. It runs no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking scripts, and it sets no cookies.
- Two things are held in your own browser and never sent to us: your accessibility preferences, if you set any, and a scroll position so a page returns to where you left it.
- Brand imagery on this site is served from a Cloudflare R2 bucket. Requesting an image gives Cloudflare your IP address and browser user agent, as fetching any file from any server does.
How we use information
We use what you send us to reply to your inquiry and to arrange technical or clinical discussions. We keep an inquiry for as long as we need it to handle and follow up on it, and we delete it sooner if you ask. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. To receive your inquiry and deliver it to our inbox we rely on service providers who process it only on our behalf: Supabase, which hosts the database in the European Union; Make, which passes each new inquiry on, also in the European Union; and Resend, which delivers the email. Our website developer operates these services for us. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it.
Data security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. The database accepts new inquiries from the site but does not let anyone read them back through it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
